Itinerary

Day 1: Cuzco-Soraypampa Camp, Peru

Today you will be transferred to Challacancha to start a 3-hour walk to Soraypampa. Enjoy your lunch with panoramic views of beautiful snow-capped mountains. Hike up to Laguna de Humantay for more incredible views of the Andes mountains and then return to camp for the night.

Day 2: Soraypampa Camp-Challhuay, Peru

After breakfast, we will trek to the highest pass on this trek between Salkantay and Humantay mountains. After a 2-hour downhill hike and lunch, we will trek to our campsite at Challhuay or Colcapampa.

Day 3: Challhuay-Aguas Calientes, Peru

Begin your trek through the jungle after an early breakfast. Pass over rivers, through valleys and witness beautiful waterfalls and vegetation. Transfer to Santa Teresa, Hydroelectric Station then walk to Aguas Calientes where you will spend the night.

Day 4: Aguas Calientes-Cuzco, Peru

Catch an early bus to Machu Picchu so you can appreciate the magnificent city in the early morning light. Enjoy a 2-hour walking tour, followed by free time to explore on your own. You can also climb Huayna Picchu (to be booked in advance at an extra cost) before you return to Aguas Calientes by bus. Take the train back to Ollantaytambo and a bus to Cuzco.
