Day 1: Nairobi, Kenya

Arrive in Nairobi and hop on your transfer to your volunteer project point.

Days 2 - 10: Musoma, Tanzania

Work on your volunteering project, explore & learn.

Volunteering in Tanzania is fun, hard work and absolutely unforgettable. Placements in local villages will appeal to people who are adventurous, motivated and caring (both for people and the environment), as well as enthusiastic. Typical tasks include everything from helping to construct water tanks, toilets and schools, to running sports days, youth groups, assisting teachers, planting trees and health awareness days. The work is very varied and volunteers can choose what they would like to get involved in. Projects leave a lasting impact on communities, and volunteers will be building on the success of previous volunteers.

All our volunteers find the work really fulfilling and feel that they really have made a difference to the lives of local people. Our projects employ 10 full time and 50 part time Tanzanian people who have become our friends.

This type of holiday combines working alongside local people with the opportunity to experience one of the most exciting wildlife watching safaris in East Africa. Not only will your funds, and presence, really make a difference to people that need it most, but you’ll also be forging unforgettable memories to keep and cherish for many more years to come.

Day 11: Ikoma Game Reserve, Tanzania

Volunteers leave Musoma early in the morning and drive to the Ikoma Game Reserve where you start seeing animals.

You then stay in Ikoma Camp where you spend the afternoon relaxing before an afternoon bush walk.

Day 12: Serengeti, Tanzania

The following day you enter the Serengeti park for a morning’s game drive before having lunch and a swim at a 5* hotel to have some time to relax.

In the evening we will head back to Karatu for overnight.

Serengeti is known for its endless open plains and stunning skies – a famous migration corridor and UNESCO World heritage site. Here, you’ll have a chance to witness the great migration of wildebeest and zebra.

Day 13: Ngorongoro Crater ,Tanzania

Enjoy Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive and then travel back to Karatu for an overnight stay.

Descend the 600m high walls to the floor of the crater and get up close with one of Africa’s seven natural wonders! Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is considered one of the most beautiful and unique places in Africa.

Here you will find a haven of African wildlife and you might also be lucky enough to witness the endangered Rhino!

Day 14: Lake Manyara, Tanzania

Volunteers would travel from Karatu to Lake Manyara National Park, which is located within the Great Rift Valley.

Lake Manyara boasts a spectacular setting, famous for its tree-climbing lions and soda-ash lake. The park also provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. The shores of the lake, encrusted with pink flamingo, attract more than 400 species of birds, many of them waterfowl or migrants.

Day 15: Nairobi, Kenya

Airport drop off and end of the tour.
