Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in Cairo and enjoy a warm welcome from our local representative, who will assist with your transfer to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is yours to unwind—settle in, refresh, and get ready for the memorable journey ahead.
Day 2
Begin your Egyptian adventure at the legendary Pyramids of Giza, where the Great Pyramid of Khufu and its neighboring pyramids rise from the desert sands as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, then continue to the iconic Great Sphinx before spending the afternoon at the Grand Egyptian Museum to admire remarkable ancient treasures, including highlights from Tutankhamun’s collection, with lunch at a local restaurant.
Day 3
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Aswan (*flight cost advised at booking; currently around USD 150 per flight). Visit the impressive Aswan High Dam, a landmark engineering feat that regulates the Nile and created Lake Nasser, then continue by boat to the beautiful Temple of Philae, dedicated to Isis and set on Agilkia Island, carefully relocated stone by stone to protect it from flooding. Later, embark your Nile cruise and settle into life on the river.
Day 4
Sail north to Kom Ombo to visit the distinctive Kom Ombo Temple, a rare twin sanctuary dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. Continue cruising to Edfu, enjoying lunch onboard, then travel by mini-bus to explore the magnificent Temple of Horus—one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples, renowned for its intricate carvings and ancient symbolism. Later, sail onward toward Esna.
Day 5
Arrive in Luxor, ancient Thebes, often described as one of the world’s greatest open-air museums. After lunch onboard, explore the immense Karnak Temple Complex, renowned for its colossal columns, sacred lake, and soaring obelisks. Continue to elegant Luxor Temple, beautifully lit at dusk and linked to Karnak by the historic Avenue of Sphinxes. Optional evening Sound and Light Show at Karnak.
Day 6
Optional early-morning hot air balloon flight for unforgettable sunrise views over the Nile and temples. After breakfast and cruise check-out, cross to Luxor’s West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings, the royal necropolis and final resting place of Egypt’s great pharaohs. Continue to the striking, cliff-set Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, then stop at the towering Colossi of Memnon, standing sentinel over the Theban plain.
Day 7
Travel across the Eastern Desert to Hurghada on Egypt’s Red Sea coast. Check in to Palm Beach Resort Hurghada (or similar) and enjoy your first relaxing evening by the sea.
Day 8
Enjoy a full day at leisure to unwind on golden beaches, swim in crystal-clear waters, or choose from optional activities such as snorkelling, diving, spa treatments, or boat excursions. Your local representative remains available throughout the day for any assistance.
Day 9
The overland transfer from Luxor to Hurghada is included and takes approximately 5 hours. Returning to Cairo by flight is available as an optional upgrade (around 45 minutes, approximately USD 60 per person). In Cairo, explore the vibrant Khan El Khalili Bazaar—one of the Middle East’s oldest markets—where a maze of lanterns, spices, jewellery, and traditional crafts creates the perfect setting for souvenir shopping and soaking up the atmosphere of Old Cairo.
Day 10
Enjoy a free morning to unwind, explore at your own pace, or join optional activities such as museum visits, shopping, or a Nile dinner cruise. At the appropriate time, transfer to Cairo International Airport for your onward flight, bringing your Egyptian journey to a smooth and memorable close.
