Day 1

Begin your adventure by checking in at the Milford Sound Visitor Terminal at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time.

Your bags will be tagged and delivered directly to your room for you while you board the iconic Milford Mariner and meet your crew.

Enjoy freshly baked muffins or scones served with an assortment of teas or coffee as you settle in for an unforgettable overnight experience.

Your home for the evening, anchor in the tranquil Harrison Cove and step off the vessel to explore Milford Sound’s hidden treasures. Paddle a kayak, take a tender boat excursion, or enjoy a refreshing swim in the pristine waters – a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in the untouched wilderness.

Please Note: Children must be at least 10 years old to participate in kayaking.

Return to the dining area for a sumptuous three-course dinner featuring fresh seafood, carved meats, vegetarian options, and a selection of decadent desserts. Pair your meal with a drink from the licensed bar as you relax in the cosy dining space with your fellow travellers.

As the day draws to a close, watch the sky transform as the sun sets behind Milford Sound’s towering peaks. This surreal moment is one of the highlights of the overnight experience. Enjoy an evening stargazing session (9.30–10.00pm) with blankets on the outdoor deck before heading to bed for a restful nights sleep.

Day 2

Start your day with a peaceful sunrise over Milford Sound, watching as the first rays of light illuminate the peaks and reflect on the calm waters.

Savour a cooked and continental breakfast while watching Milford Sound come to life. Look out for seals, dolphins, and penguins as they start their day in this unspoilt environment.

Head out on the breathtaking Milford Sound and marvel at towering peaks, cascading waterfalls, and dramatic landscapes as you cruise past St Anne’s Point Lighthouse and, weather permitting, towards the Tasman Sea. Find a quiet spot onboard to soak in the peaceful surroundings and take in the grandeur of the fiord.

Complete your journey with a leisurely return cruise, taking in Milford Sound’s stunning landscapes one last time. Reflect on your incredible overnight experience as you arrive back at the terminal mid-morning.
