Additional Information:

  • - The car type can be upgraded to a compact SUV, Full Size Sedan, standard SUV, Large SUV, 8 Seater Van or Large 4WD.
  • - The accommodation in each destination can be upgraded or can be changed to self contained apartment style or lodges, breakfast can be added at the hotels or lodges with suitable facilities.
  • - All drivers must have a physical open valid drivers license to present on pick-up.
  • - There is no maximum age limit. The drivers under 21 years old must pay a daily surcharge direct on pick-up.
  • - Child safety seats and booster seats can be provided with an extra cost, to be paid direct on pick-up. The child seats and the booster seats have to be requested at the time of booking.
  • - Roof racks, snow chains and tow bars are not allowed.
  • - If you return the vehicle earlier than agreed, you will not be entitled to a refund.

Itinerary

Day 1: Adelaide Airport to Adelaide

Collect your vehicle from Adelaide Airport and drive to Adelaide city. (6 km, 20 mins drive)

Day 2: Adelaide

Enjoy Adelaide at your own pace visiting the Adelaide Central Market, River Torrens, Adelaide Oval and Adelaide Hills.

Day 3: Barossa Valley

Today join a full day tour out in the Barossa, take time to sample some of the Barossa’s finest wines and gourmet food that has made this South Australian wine region an international icon.

Day 4: Adelaide to Kangaroo Island

After breakfast, drive to Cape Jervis (106 km, 1.5 hours drive) to catch the SeaLink ferry across to Penneshaw (ferry duration 45 mins), Kangaroo Island.

Once on the island, make your way to your hotel in Penneshaw, Kingscote or American River. (Penneshaw to Kingscote 60 km 45 mins drive), (Penneshaw to American River 33 km, 30 mins drive)

Day 5: Kangaroo Island

Experience the highlights of South Australia’s premier nature-based tourism destination, Kangaroo Island, on a full day guided tour including a two course lunch.

Day 6: Kangaroo Island

Today, visit Kangaroo Island at your own pace exploring gorgeous beaches to hiking through national parks and tasting delicious local food and wine.

Day 7: Kangaroo Island to Glenelg

After breakfast, drive to Penneshaw to catch the ferry across to Cape Jervis. (Kingscote to Penneshaw 60 km, 45 mins drive), (American River to Penneshaw 33 km, 30 mins drive)

Once you are off the ferry, drive to the bayside town of Glenelg. (102 km, 1.5 hours drive)
