Snowshoeing & Ice Fishing Tour

(additional cost, please enquire) After a short drive to a frozen lake, we will show you how to walk on snowshoes. With our fishing equipment we will walk onto the ice of the lake. We will drill a few holes through the ice and set up our fishing gear. We will then fish through these holes.  With some luck we catch a Lake Trout or Grayling. Appropriate winter clothing is required; not included. Includes: transfers from/to the lodge, instruction, snow shoes, hiking poles, snacks and hot drinks, fishing licence, ice fishing tent, snowmobile supported for gear Total Duration: 3-4 hours (minimum 2 person)

Half Day Dog Sledding Tour

Dog sledding tour in Yukon (additional cost, please enquire) Transfer by van to the dog kennel outside of Whitehorse. Here you’ll learn how to harness the dogs and hitch them to the sled. The highlight of this excursion will be when you’ll run your own dog team for approximately 2 hours. Includes: transfers, instruction & guide, use of dogs and sled, snacks & hot drinks, winter clothing Total Duration: 3-4 hours (minimum 2 person)

Snowmobile Driving 

 (additional cost, please enquire) We will meet you at your ranch and introduce you to the safety of driving a snow machine. After instructions and a trial run with your instructor you’ll be driving your own machine (2 clients sharing on snow mobile) over prepared trails through the incredible winter landscape of the Yukon. Includes instruction, the use of a snow machine (lunch and hot drinks on full day tour/snacks and hot drinks on half day). Minimum 2 pax.

Experience the Silence Tour

From your lodge, we drive with you to the remote starting point of this very special adventure. There we will show you how to walk with snowshoes and trekking poles. You and your partner will walk all by yourselves along the shore of a beautiful frozen lake. The Mountain View is breathtaking – and there is no sound, except your breathing and the crunching of the snow under the snowshoes. If you stop – there is just silence. You will snowshoe through some pristine landscapes, enjoying the silence and the spectacular views of the coastal mountains.  Your guide is connected with you by two-way radio. He is watching you across the lake. Just use the radio and your guide will be there with you in very short time. Appropriate winter clothing is required; not included. Includes instruction, snow shoes, trekking poles, snacks and hot drinks, campfire, snowmobile supported for gear Total duration: 3-4 hours (minimum 2 person)

Yukon Wildlife Preserve & Takhini Hot Springs

Takhini Hot Springs Tour
From Whitehorse drive approx. 30 km to the Wildlife Preserve. The Yukon Wildlife Preserve & Takhini Hot Springs Tour is an excellent guided tour and great opportunities to view and photograph wildlife in its natural habitat: Dall Sheep, Bighorn Sheep, Mountain Goat, Deer, Elk, Woodland Caribou, Wood Bison, Musk-Ox and Moose may be seen, usually up close! Short drive to Takhini Hot Springs. Relax in the hot water pool and enjoy the winter landscape. Coffee shop and desserts available at the hot springs (not included). Duration: 4-5 hours

Snowbiking Tour

(additional cost, please enquire) Embrace winter and experience fat biking! Whitehorse summer trails are converted into a winter playground for fat bikes. Experience the fun of pedaling on the snowy single track through a perfect winter scene. Includes: transfers, instruction & guide, mountain bike, helmet and snacks Total Duration: approximately 3 hours (minimum 2 person) *Due to the remoteness of the lodge, a transfer-surcharge has been added in addition to the regular day tour rates.

WINTER CLOTHING PACKAGE for 4 nights (additional cost, please enquire):

Itinerary

Day 1

 

We will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to your Hotel in downtown Whitehorse. The hotel is located within walking distance of all attractions, restaurants, banks and stores. We will have an informational meeting and registration for optional tours at the hotel. Take your time for fitting the winter clothing (optional), shopping and dinner on your own. At 9:30 pm departure for Aurora viewing. A cozy, heated cabin or wall tent with hot drinks and snacks makes your Aurora viewing even more enjoyable. Return to hotel around 2.00 am.

Day 2

Sleep in the morning before joining the 10.00 am city tour with Main Street, Train Depot of the White Pass and Yukon Route, Log Skyscraper, Log Church, Sternwheeler SS Klondike, Fish ladder, Schwatka Lake and some residential areas. We’ll pick you up at 2:30pm at your downtown hotel and drive you out to the Boreale Ranch. Our 16 acre property is located just 30 minutes from Whitehorse and seconds away from memorable adventures. Situated at the base of the impressive coastal mountains, the Boreale Ranch has plenty of space to soak in the views. After our evening 3-course dinner, you are free to relax in your private lodge room or watch the stars around a bonfire. Have a cup of coffee and prepare yourself for an amazing night of Aurora viewing.

Day 3

Enjoy morning locally roasted coffee on your private terrace with looming coastal mountains as your companion. After coffee, you will join us for a delicious breakfast in the main lodge. This gorgeous, healthy breakfast includes a variety of items such as crepes, homemade granola, fruit salad and pastries. Fully nourished and ready to go, you may join in on any of the offered day time guided adventures. After another day of enjoying the Yukon winter wonderland, we will meet back at the lodge in time for happy hour before another evening meal. Our dinners follow a 3-course menu and are complimented with regional specialties. Enjoy a hot chocolate around the bonfire while keeping an eye on the clear skies above.

Day 4

Check out by 11:30, when we will transfer you to your downtown hotel.
At 10pm we will depart for another night of Aurora viewing at the Northern Tales Trading Post. Return to hotel around 3am.

Day 5

Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
