Itinerary

DAY 1: Arrival in Vilnius

Arrival in Vilnius and transfer from the airport to your hotel.

Dinner and accommodation at Radisson Blu Lietuva Hotel (or similar), a first class hotel located only 2km away from the Old Town.

Sights of interest in the city centre of Vilnius include the Old Town, Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas’ Tower and the Gates of Dawn.

Welcome meeting with your tour escort at 19:00 hrs at the hotel.

DAY 2: Vilnius sightseeing - Trakai - Klaipeda

Breakfast at the hotel before you check out and start your morning sightseeing tour with a local guide.

This includes a panoramic tour of the city and a walking tour of the Old Town with Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Tower, Peter and Paul Church, St. Anna’s Church, Old University and the Gates of Dawn. Vilnius is known for its more than 1.200 medieval buildings and 48 churches.

After the tour you continue to Trakai, the medieval capital of Lithuania and visit the well preserved Trakai Castle, beautifully located on an island in Lake Galve.

The balance of the day is spent en route to Klaipeda where you arrive late afternoon.

DAY 3: Klaipeda

Breakfast at the hotel.

This day is at your own leisure.

In the evening Lithuanian dinner at Restaurant 19th Century.

DAY 4: Klaipeda sightseeing - Samogitia National Park - Riga

Breakfast at the hotel.

Klaipeda first became a part of Lithuania in 1923 and had a long history as a German town called Memel.

A short sightseeing tour will take you to the Old Town with its narrow, cobblestone streets and old guild houses and you will visit the Theatre Square and the Aennchen von Tharau Fountain.

You will continue to the Samogitia National Park, where you embark on a walking tour around the picturesque Lake Plateliai.

After that continue to Siauliai and Cross Hills, one of the holiest sites of Catholic Lithuania.

You will head North into Latvia and reach Riga in the afternoon.

DAY 5: Riga sightseeing / Optional visit to Jurmala beach resort

Breakfast at the hotel.

Riga, founded in 1201 by the German bishop Albert, is the largest of the 3 Baltic capitals and boasts a true kaleidoscope of various architectural styles.

The walking tour of the Old Town with a local guide includes Riga Castle, Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, Swedish Gates, Three Brothers, Large and Small Guild House and the Freedom Monument.

The afternoon is at your own leisure or you can join some excursions.

In the evening enjoy a Latvian dinner at the stylish Restaurant Forest.

DAY 6: Riga - summer resort Parnu - Tallinn

Breakfast at the hotel.

The tour continues along the coastal highway to the Estonian summer resort of Parnu.

You will have a short tour of the resort before continuing through the North Estonian land of forests and arrive in Tallinn early afternoon.

Dinner and accommodation at the Radisson Blu Hotel Olümpia (or similar).

DAY 7: Tallinn city sightseeing

Breakfast at the hotel.

Tallinn is a charming blend of medieval tranquillity and modern urban life.

The medieval Old Town is a busy place in the summer with its many shops, galleries, souvenir markets, outdoor cafés and restaurants.

The sightseeing tour with a local guide takes you around the old medieval city walls and into the Old Town where you will see Toompea Castle, Dome Church, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, medieval Old Town Hall and Great Guild Hall.

In the afternoon you have some time to enjoy Tallinn on your own or join some excursions.

In the evening medieval dinner at Restaurant Maikrahv.

Accommodation at the Hotel Radisson Blu Olümpia (or similar).

DAY 8: Departure from Tallinn

Buffet breakfast at hotel followed by transfer to the airport for your flight home.
