Day 2: Auckland to Paihia

Travel from Auckland to Paihia in the Bay of Islands on this half-day sightseeing tour.

Your journey into the ‘winterless North’ begins as you cross over the iconic Auckland Harbour Bridge.

Along the way your driver guide will keep you informed and entertained, pointing out sites of interest as you drive through rolling farmland and lush native forest into the Northland region.

Take a brief morning tea break in Kaiwaka (own expense); your tour continues past Whangarei and through Kawakawa (home of the famous Hundertwasser toilets) before arriving arriving at the seaside town of Paihia.

You’ll have the rest of your day at leisure to explore the village and relax. During your stay in Paihia we recommend you take the opportunity to explore this stunning region.

Day 3: Hole in the Rock Dolphin Cruise

This is the most popular dolphin watching cruise in the Bay of Islands, and for good reason!

Board your cruise in Paihia or Russell and take in the stunning views as we glide out through the islands and along the Rakaumangamanga Peninsula to Cape Brett, where a historic lighthouse keeps watch over and Piercy Island/Motukakako, or as it is popularly known the ‘Hole in the Rock’.

Day 4: Bus to Auckland, Auckland Harbour Dinner Cruise

Immerse yourself in Auckland’s harbour setting with dinner on the water. Enjoy canapes and a welcome drink as you depart the dock for the open water.

Your friendly knowledgeable crew will talk you through Auckland’s unique history as you sail past iconic landmarks. There is plenty of opportunity to participate in sailing, capture the perfect shot or just sit back and enjoy the sights. Dinner is served above deck as you take in the sea air or optional dining below deck in the well-appointed cabin. Savour dessert from the cockpit as the city lights up during the leisurely sail back to the vibrant Viaduct Basin.

Compliment your meal from our selection of locally produced wine or beer from our fully licensed bar on board.
