Day 2: Broome sights tour with sunset camel ride
With complimentary pick up from your Broome or Cable Beach accommodation, you’ll begin your half-day exploration of Broome at approximately 12:30 pm, with your experienced local guide, who will regale you with fascinating stories of the growth of the town, the pearling industry and the impact of repeated attacks during WWII.
Built on the backs of enforced slavery, Broome has progressed to a popular tourist destination, with a visceral history of hard labour, tropical cyclones and repressed working conditions. Today, Broome celebrates its fusion of different cultures – many of which are Asian inspired – due to the customs that presented in the early days of the pearling industry. You will hear amazing stories about the lively Chinatown district, visit a pearl shop and take in a historical sound show at Sun Pictures – the Guinness World Records listed, oldest operating open-air picture garden in the world.
You will explore Old Broome and its fascinating architecture, including the old Pearling Masters homes. You will learn of the One Day War at Town Beach and savour a complimentary tasting of ginger beer and handmade ale at Matso’s Brewery. You will also visit Broome Port and the Japanese Cemetery en route to Gantheaume Point, where you will explore some of the world’s largest and most well preserved dinosaur footprints (low-tide only). Learn the story of Anastasia’s Pool, before setting off at sunset for an iconic camel ride on famous Cable Beach.
At the end of your exciting Broome experience, you will be dropped off at your accommodation, or you may elect to enjoy dinner or a drink at one of the nearby establishments (approx. 6 pm), to relive your wonderful day.

The camp is owned and run by the Indigenous Bardi Jawi Communities and is famous for its astonishing diversity, pristine wilderness and unique landscape. Only a lucky few ever get to see this.
After enjoying a meal, stroll along the pristine white beaches and marvel at nature’s contrasts where ancient red cliffs meet the crystal blue of the Indian Ocean.
You’ll then visit the Aquaculture Hatchery at One Arm Point for a fascinating tour. You’ll get insights into the Bardi Jawi Community’s age-old saltwater culture, the hatchery’s sustainable aquaculture production and the spectacular marine life in the area. Be tempted by special locally crafted souvenirs and be astounded at the stunning views.
