Itinerary

Day 1: San Jose, Costa Rica

Welcome to Costa Rica!

Upon arrival, our representative will greet you at the airport and hand you your travel information. Afterwards he’ll take you to your hotel. From there, you can visit the Central Market, the outskirts of the National Theatre and La Plaza de La Cultura.

Day 2: San Jose - Tortuguero, Costa Rica

In the morning, your transfer will pick you up in your hotel and the journey goes to Guapiles, where you enjoy a traditional breakfast.

During this commute you will find works on the road that may cause your travel times to extend. From there the trip continues to a dock, where you change to a boat that takes you to your lodge. During the boat trip your guide will point out birds and animals and will explain the natural history of the area. After arriving at your lodge lunch will be served.

In the afternoon, you will join a guided boat tour.

Day 3: Tortuguero, Costa Rica

At 08:00am, breakfast is served, and afterwards you will depart by boat to the private trail of the lodge to enjoy a guided walk in the tropical rainforest, where, with some luck you might spot monkeys, sloths or toucans, to just name a few of the animals seen here frequently!

Return to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, you will visit the town of Tortuguero.

Day 4: Tortuguero - Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica

Time to enjoy your first Gallo Pinto and then get ready!

Your shuttle transportation will meet you at the hotel lobby and your Caribbean adventure will start. Puerto Viejo – one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean.

After a relaxing day at the beach, get yourself prepared for a typical night and enjoy the sound of Reggae with a delicious fruit cocktail!

Day 5: Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica

Puerto Viejo is well known for the beautiful beaches, such as Playa Chiquita, Playa Negra, and Punta Uva, which are some of the most spectacular beaches in Costa Rica, which can be found between Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo.

It’s recommended you visit Manzanillo, go have a walk in this nature path that is surrounded by tropical forest and the Caribbean sea.

Also, you will have free time to do activities for example: surf lessons, horseback riding on the beach, snorkelling in National Park Cahuita or visiting Kekoldi (indigenous region).

Day 6: Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica

Enjoy another day in this region to spend as you please.

Day 7: Puerto Viejo - La Fortuna, Costa Rica

In the morning after breakfast you will be heading towards La Fortuna, the village on the foot of the world-famous Arenal Volcano with your shared shuttle.

You have plenty of time to discover the Arenal area and Arenal Volcano as well as to enjoy many wild animals!

Day 8: La Fortuna, Costa Rica

The following days are at leisure for you to enjoy your hotel’s facilities or to visit a nearby attraction such as the Hanging Bridges Park, Arenal Volcano National Park, the La Fortuna Waterfall, ziplining, ATVs, horseback riding, canyoning tour, white water rafting, night walk, trekking, mountain bike, sloth observation, or just lay back and relax in the Northern part of Costa Rica.

Day 9: La Fortuna - Monteverde, Costa Rica

Today your adventure will continue to the Cloud Forest Region, Monteverde.

After breakfast you will be picked up by a shuttle that will take you to a small dock in Arenal Dam, from there, you will board a boat that will take you to the other side of the lake while admiring the beautiful landscapes around you. When on the other shore, another shuttle will take you to your hotel in Monteverde.

In the afternoon, you have time to visit the village St. Elena.

Day 10: Monteverde, Costa Rica

Today you will have free time to explore the enigmatic cloud forest, if you are looking for some adventure don’t hesitate to book the zipline tour or if you are curious to understand the cloud forest then explore the Santa Elena private reserve.

Why not check out one of the following activities: mountain biking, the hanging bridges, horseback riding, waterfall hikes, birdwatching, night walks, a coffee tour, or a guided visit of Santa Elena or Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve.

Day 11: Monteverde - Santa Teresa, Costa Rica

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

Today you are going to continue your Costa Rican adventure towards Santa Teresa. Sitting on the western edge of the Nicoya Peninsula, Santa Teresa is a small beach town that attracts a lot of surfers and yogis. In recent years, this quiet city has become a booming tourist destination for surfers and yoga lovers Despite its size, Santa Teresa has been hailed as world class surf in Costa Rica – with beautiful white sand beaches and waves that put a smile on the faces of surfers all year round.

Don’t forget your mat, go to the beach and choose a nice spot to enjoy your favourite yoga routine.

Day 12: Santa Teresa, Costa Rica

Before breakfast we highly recommend you to go to the beach and start your yoga practice, also you can practice at your hotel lodge, but as you are in the most beautiful beach of Costa Rica we believe your practice will be better at the beach.

Santa Teresa offers a variety of things to do. Many of the visitors enjoy horseback riding, hiking and canopy tours. This town could not be better to spend some relaxing couple time on its cozy beaches. However, if you are looking for adventure, be sure to take a day trip to the Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve, 5 kilometres away. As the first protected area in the country, this park covers 1,270 hectares of mixed forest with 150 species of birds, such as brown pelicans, reidoras gulls, osprey eagles and brown boobies. In fact, this end of the peninsula is an important sanctuary for seabirds. You will also find forest trails and the stunning sea views that await your visit. To explore the beaches and villages, you can rent a bike or an off-road vehicle in the city.

Mal Pais, another ideal place to surf, is less than 3 kilometres away. If you want a change in surfing, this small coastal community is perfect for both beginners and experienced surfers.

Day 13: Santa Teresa - San Jose, Costa Rica

Enjoy breakfast while seeing the Pacific Ocean, prepare to say goodbye to Santa Marta.

In the afternoon you will be taken back to San José.

Enjoy the last evening in Costa Rica!

Day 14: San Jose, Costa Rica

It is time to say goodbye!

According to your flight-schedule you will take a seat in the private transfer of the hotel to the airport.
