Day 1: MANAUS - RIO NEGRO
Boarding the Brasilian Dream.
Begin your journey with a guided tour of Manaus, the gateway to the Amazon rainforest.
This peaceful city, known for its unique architecture, invites you to explore its historic centre, including a view of the iconic Amazonas Theatre.
You’ll stroll through the Adolpho Lisboa Market, a wrought-iron architectural gem located along the banks of the Rio Negro. This emblematic spot bursts with vibrant colours and enticing aromas—from spices and freshly caught fish to exotic tropical fruits in surprising shapes. The market also features traditional remedies, handmade crafts, and key ingredients of Amazonian cuisine.
You’ll also visit the magnificent Manaus Opera House (Teatro Amazonas), a Renaissance-style masterpiece inaugurated in 1896. It is richly adorned with European materials: Carrara marble, Murano glass chandeliers, and even glazed tiles from Alsace.
A short navigation brings you to Vila Paraíso, where you’ll visit the Rubber Museum, which traces the rise and fall of the Amazonian rubber boom. Through objects, documents, and reconstructions, you’ll explore this fascinating chapter of history. The museum offers a faithful re-creation of a 19th-century rubber plantation, immersing you in the lives of the seringueiros (latex tappers) and the cultural wealth of the era.
Return on board and begin cruising the Rio Negro, a 2,250 km-long river and major tributary of the Amazon. We’ll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail.
Dinner and overnight onboard your ship.
Day 2: THE MEETING OF THE WATERS - PARINTINS
Early in the morning, set off in a private boat to explore the winding channels around Lake Januari.
Glide through a forest bathed in golden light, as the secret life of the Amazon awakens with the rising sun.
Return on board.
We’ll be cruising toward one of the Amazon’s most spectacular natural phenomena: the Meeting of the Waters between the Rio Solimões and the Rio Negro. Here, before your eyes, the milky-brown waters of the Solimões (the name given to the western stretch of the Amazon River in Brazil before it meets the Rio Negro) intertwine with the dark, almost black waters of the Rio Negro. For several kilometers, they flow side by side without mixing, drawing a striking tapestry of ochre and black before merging into the vast Amazon River.
We’ll be cruising toward Parintins, punctuated by private boat outings to observe the vibrant life along the riverbanks. In a secluded channel, you may be lucky enough to spot howler monkeys, sloths, fish eagles, or river dolphins hunting in the shallows. You’ll also encounter local fishermen in narrow dugout canoes, catching tambaqui, a prized Amazonian fish known for its fondness for fallen fruit.
As evening approaches, experience the magic of a sunset excursion: the sky is set ablaze with fiery reds, soft pinks, charcoal grays, and golden tones—all mirrored in the calm waters of the river.
Dinner and overnight onboard your ship.
Day 3: PARINTINS
In the morning, set off for another exploration deep in the Amazonian wilderness.
Nature reveals yet more wonders: from birdsong and the rustling of leaves to fleeting flashes of wings or fins—each outing offers a vivid encounter with life in motion.
By mid-morning, arrive in the city of Parintins by tuk-tuk for a colourful visit. One of the highlights: a stop at the secret hangars where the giant sets and dazzling costumes of the Parintins Festival are stored. Every year, during the last weekend of June, this major cultural event attracts thousands of spectators for a theatrical showdown featuring the legendary bulls: Garantido (red) and Caprichoso (blue). The whole city comes alive with song, dance, and drumbeats, dressed entirely in the colours of its faction. After four nights of extravagant performances, a jury crowns the winner of this one-of-a-kind artistic battle.
In the afternoon, a private boat outing will take you through lakes and river branches along the main river. The atmosphere turns magical: pink river dolphins carving circles in the water, kingfishers darting through the air, and the deep call of howler monkeys echoing through the canopy.
You’ll then disembark in a small riverside village to meet the locals and learn about their river-based lifestyle: subsistence farming, artisanal fishing, stilt houses, and warm, genuine smiles.
Dinner and overnight onboard your ship.
Day 4: OBIDOS
In the morning, disembark by private boat for a visit to Óbidos.
This colonial gem of the Amazon, located on the left bank of the Amazon River, was founded in the 17th century by the Portuguese.
Named after a town in Portugal, Óbidos is distinguished by its strategic position at the river’s narrowest point, where the Amazon is only two kilometres wide. You’ll explore its remarkably well-preserved historic centre, showcasing beautiful colonial architecture: colourful houses, cobbled streets, wrought-iron balconies, and the Church of Sant’Ana, one of the oldest in the region. The atmosphere is peaceful and timeless.
We’ll return on board and continue cruising.
In the afternoon, enjoy a private boat excursion to observe the Amazonian flora and fauna.
Dinner and overnight onboard your ship.
Day 5: SANTARÉM - JARI CANAL
In the morning, discover Santarém, one of the oldest cities in Brazilian Amazonia, founded in the 17th century by Jesuits on the site of a former indigenous Tapajó village.
Located at the majestic confluence of the Tapajós and Amazon Rivers, Santarém was long a strategic crossroads for river trade and a meeting point of cultures. Your visit takes you into the heart of its bustling, colorful markets, where the intoxicating scents of medicinal herbs, local spices, and tropical fruits blend with the richness of traditional crafts. Don’t miss the famous brightly colored hammocks, symbols of the Amazonian way of life, and the warm exchanges with locals who keep ancient traditions alive.
In the afternoon, we’ll be cruising gently along the Tapajós River toward the calm waters of the Jari Canal, a route where nature reveals its full splendour. The shores alternate between fine sandy beaches, lush forests, and riverside villages — discreet witnesses to a lifestyle intimately linked to the river. This peaceful journey offers an authentic immersion deep in the Amazon, accompanied by birdsong and the graceful dance of traditional canoes.
Dinner and overnight onboard your ship.
In the evening, a private boat excursion will allow you to observe nocturnal wildlife in a mysterious and captivating atmosphere.
Day 6: JARI - PONTA GRANDE ON THE ARAPIUNS RIVER
Early in the morning, we’ll board a private boat to explore the Jari Canal, a peaceful waterway linking the Amazon to the Tapajós River.
This preserved area is ideal for spotting Amazonian wildlife: freshwater dolphins, iguanas, herons, kingfishers, and other tropical birds roam freely here.
In the early afternoon, we’ll be cruising toward the bay of Ponta Grande on the Arapiuns River.
Time to relax in a stunning natural setting of pristine sandbanks, turquoise waters, and lush vegetation lining the riverbanks.
At the end of the day, we’ll take a private boat out once again to enjoy the sunset in a serene, almost surreal atmosphere.
Dinner and overnight onboard your ship.
Day 7: PONTA GRANDE - VILLAGE DA COROCA
In the morning, depart by private boat to visit a village and meet its inhabitants.
Discover the “casa da farinha”, where manioc flour — a staple food of the Amazon — is prepared using ancestral techniques. The village is also home to stingless bee hives, producing a rare and delicious honey. Experience an authentic immersion into the daily life of the riverside communities, blending living traditions with a close connection to nature. In the afternoon, set course for Urucureá Bay.
Enjoy a relaxing moment at the lounge bar or on the sun deck — a suspended time between sky and water.
After about an hour of navigation, the boat will enter Urucureá Bay, revealing a fascinating new landscape of peaceful meanders, lush vegetation, and the golden reflections of the Amazonian sun.
Dinner and overnight onboard your ship.
Day 8: BAY OF URUCUREÁ
At dawn, departure for a forest observation walk.
With a bit of luck, you’ll spot the mischievous Zig-Zogs, curious little monkeys, or hear the powerful cries of the Guaribas, the region’s emblematic howler monkeys. Then, you’ll visit a village known for its exceptional wickerwork craftsmanship.
Here, each basket, each pattern, is hand-woven with fibres and dyes from the forest. A traditional art that delights the eyes and has enabled many families to develop a sustainable local economy.
Return on board.
In the afternoon, we’ll be cruising toward Alter do Chão, nicknamed the “Caribbean of the Amazon” for its crystal-clear waters and fine sand beaches.
Exceptional dinner on a sandbank, under the open sky, beneath the starry vastness of the Amazon.
Night on board.
Day 9: MAGUARI - JAMARAQUA
In the morning, depart for an immersive walk in the primary forest, guided by members of the local communities.

We’ll be cruising in the footsteps of the Langsdorff expedition (1825-1829), near an ancient Munduruku village, immortalized in 1828 by the painter Hercule Florence. Today, the descendants of this proud and deeply rooted people have reclaimed the area. Engaged in responsible ecotourism projects, they share their culture and traditions with visitors.
At sunset, a private boat excursion will allow you to observe wildlife, especially the birds returning to their shelters for the night.
As night falls, a rare and silent moment: the canoes quietly approach, lit only by simple oil lamps. You’ll board with them to witness a traditional ritual beneath the canopy, filled with mystery and respect for the forest.
Dinner and overnight onboard your ship.
Day 10: ALTER DO CHAO
In the morning, depart by traditional canoe for a final exploration.
This early moment, bathed in soft light, is ideal for observing the rich Amazonian wildlife and flora: aquatic birds, giant water lilies, awakening monkeys, and the forest slowly coming to life.
