In October this year I had the pleasure of hosting 8 of our agents on one of our most popular Fez Turkey Trips – the 10 day Magic Carpet.
10 days full of sightseeing, new experiences and of course – kebabs!
After spending our first day seeing all the sites of Istanbul from Topkapi Palace to the Blue Mosque, day two saw us travel to the Gallipoli Peninsula.
A sombre experience visiting ANZAC cove, Lone Pine and the other memorials.
Troy, a cable car up to the ancient city of Pergamon and a couple of nights in Kusadasi followed.
Ephesus, carpet weaving and wine tasting were on the agenda for day 4.
It was then off to Pamukkale with a stop at Hierapolis, pide for lunch and a dip in the calcium travertines.
Next and last stop – a cave hotel stay in Cappadocia – a once in a lifetime experience. A cooking class, underground churches, a Turkish dance show and of course – the highlight of the trip Hot Air Ballooning at sunrise filled up our time before the long drive back to Istanbul with a little stop in Ankara on the way.
This whole trip was led by the incredible G at Fez Travel. His knowledge was incredible, enthusiasm unmatched and never led us astray with a food suggestion.
